A night away at the DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne was just what Bec and I needed after a busy week of work! Situated right in the heart of the Melbourne CBD (literally overlooking the iconic Flinders St Station via Flinders St) we were welcomed with open arms, welcome cookies and a beautifully bright room. After settling ourselves in, and of course taking as many photos as humanly possible, we set off for dinner at the Platform 270 restaurant situated on the ground floor. Bec would like me to mention in this post that the Prawn Linguini she had for dinner was “The best she has ever had in her life” and considering Bec has eaten a lot of seafood pasta, that is a massive call. She graciously allowed me to have a fork-full too, and I can agree that it was pretty flipping good.
Aside from dinner being a serious 10/10, we continued the night sipping wine and chatting with friends about things only ‘adulty’ adults talk about. Ie: buying homes for investments and renovations *sigh*. It made us realise that at what stage do we really consider ourselves ‘adults’? When we were younger, we were like..’Oh when we’re 18 we’ll be adults’, and now we’re 25 and still don’t really feel like adults yet. Haha. Maybe you never do?
The next day we had plenty of rushing around to do, and with the DoubleTree located right in the heart of the CBD, we were all but a hop, skip and a jump away from everything we needed to do! Missed what we got up to at the DoubleTree? Watch it on our weekly Vlog here.
