MAKING THE MOST OF LIFE WITH MARKS & SPENCER
‘So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.’
This week Bec and I had the pleasure of travelling up to Sydney for a couple of days and we realised how amazing it is that we get to do it as a part of our work. We’re able to make the most of life, and take these opportunities that arise because of the flexibility of our job. It’s never something that we ever thought would be possible, or saw ourselves doing – but hey, are we glad that it’s happening now! I’m not saying it’s a paid trip by a brand interstate, or even overseas (although – I’ve heard, this does happen..just not to us yet haha), but it’s something we’re able to do because of our freelance jobs. Essentially, where we go, work goes!
The downside to this is that it’s very hard to break away, actually relax and not work, however – it means that we can pick up and leave, and be almost guaranteed that we can work anywhere in the world. Except somewhere where there is really bad wifi, because, yeah..not ideal.
Is a trip to Sydney really a trip to Sydney if we don’t shoot with our fav Sydney photographer Wes Tan? Yeah, exactly. We had the perfect, chic outfits to get us through our quick trip from Marks & Spencer, and not to mention our new favourite jeans from the Marks & Spencer Denim range. Kick flare jeans are our new favourite thing, so slimming, but so farshun too. Also getting an honourable mention is Bec’s trench coat. Making her look $1million without that hefty price tag (winning!)
