SPRING RACING EDIT: WHAT TO WEAR TO OAKS DAY

And now welcome the well branded ‘Ladies Day’, or more traditionally known Oaks Day. The day where every woman can express their own version of femininity and feel like an absolute qween. Be ware, it’s a day that you should expect to see a lot of floral, lace, light, pastel fabrics and colours; so if that’s not up your alley, stick to block colours or an all white affair. If you’re still stuck on what to wear to Derby Day or Melbourne Cup, check out our Spring Racing Edit: What to wear to Derby Day and Spring Racing Edit: What to wear to Melbourne Cup.

So whichever way you define your femininity, we’ve found something for you.

FEMININE FOR YOU – FLORALS

Not all florals are super girl-girl, but if that’s your style – we got you too!

FEMININE FOR YOU – LACE

Lace is one of the most popular fabric choices for Oaks Day as it reinforces traditional feminine wear and style. However, team with strong and bold accessories to punch-up your look if you’re wanting to look a little-less ‘traditionally feminine’.

FEMININE FOR YOU – A NOD TO THE PAST

A great way to showcase your ‘style’ of femininity is to play with ruffles and shapes – giving a lovely little nod to the fashion past. Think Marie Antoinette fluffy sleeves and ruffles, or chic 1930’s & 40’s shapes and silhouettes. Cool, but with a great feminine touch.

FEMININE FOR YOU – SILKY & SULTRY

What’s more feminine than silks? For us, it just oozes sultriness and strength in our femininity. Something about the fabric makes us feel powerful in our bodies and super feminine.
