SAY “I DO” WITH THE PERFECT WEDDING SHOPPING GUIDE

If you’re a tech-savvy bride like us you’ll be trolling the internet high and low to find some great deals for your wedding day! It’s time to say “I DO” to the perfect wedding shopping guide ft some of my favourite places that I shopped online before the big day + some necessities that you’ll need on your special day.

Wedding Dress:

If you’re on the hunt for your bridal gown online (or possibly thinking of changing into a second look), there are so many designers creating beautiful non-bridal, bridal gowns/options. Don’t look past online stores such as ShopBop or The Iconic for great pieces!

Underwear:

It’s something that is generally forgotten about until the final second, but your wedding undergarments are probably the only things holding you (lol) and your sanity together on your big day.

Depending on your dress you’ll need to find undergarments to match. For my ceremony gown, it was pretty easy as I could really wear any seamless nude underwear with my gown as it was quite heavy beading and wasn’t sheer. But I did also have cupping sewn into my gown so I didn’t have to wear a bra (woo!). But for my second gown I had to really find a great pair of knickers! It was a slinky silk gown by Effie Kats that was slightly sheer, so I really needed the perfect nude underwear that showed no seams! A difficult task at that, especially the night before my wedding when all the underwear I HAD bought didn’t work. Lucky, mum came to the rescue for a spare pair she purchased for herself from Nancy Ganz. The key is, go up a size so there is no possible way that they can dig into you booty, even the slightest grab on my butt would have shown in my dress, so these were perfect! Some other great suggestions are:

Footwear:

My shoes were these stunning pair of Nicholas Kirkwood heels from Farfetch, and they were absolutely perfect for my big day and matched my outfit so well! I’m very used to wearing high heels, but also purchased these magic insoles from Vivian Lou that are designed by a pediatrist and can I tell you that I wore my 10 inch heels from 12pm – 12am and they never hurt. Not even once, like at all. MAGIC I TELL YOU, MAGIC. Depending on your dress needs and if you’re ‘good’ in heels for long will depend on the style you go for. Some of my favourites currently and some that were contenders for my day are below:

Accessories:

Now guys, you know us here at Twice Blessed. We are all about the accessories. And my wedding day ones were no exception. I knew it was really important to find jewellery and a handbag that really complimented my outfit, but wasn’t just ‘blah’ and blended in. I still wanted pieces that were beautiful in their own right and brought something special to my outfit. Bec’s gift to me were these beautiful Chanel faux-pearl earrings, and the bag I purchased was from Aussie brand From St Xavier. Both featured pearl details and gold hardware. For us when it comes to accessories and elevating a look, it’s best to commit to the theme you’re going with. Mine was pearls (if you haddn’t noticed already) so I just went for it. PEARL EVERYTHING.
